Meat Free Monday is a really easy way to help children and young people make healthier food choices whilst simultaneously encouraging a responsible attitude to the planet.
You can support MFM by preparing a meat free packed lunch for your child, by having your household go meat free on Mondays and by discussing what it’s all about with the whole family.
Reducing your child’s consumption of animal products need not cause concern on the dietary front. A balanced plant-based Monday diet, featuring a variety of fresh fruit, vegetables, beans, pulses, nuts and whole grains will provide them with the all-important nutrients they need – including protein, calcium and iron.
