Meat Free Monday One day a week can make a world of difference

#NoBeef

“Even the least polluting animal products are many times worse than animal-free foods when it comes to greenhouse gas emissions. It’s true that animals can play a useful role in maintaining healthy soils, but there are more efficient ways to look after our soil and, with a ballooning world population, the science is clear that we need to move away from animal products as much as possible. This is why we wholeheartedly support the work of Meat Free Monday.” – Matthew Shribman

#NoBeef is a campaign about the environmental impact of different animal products, founded by science presenter Matthew Shribman. Supported by climate scientists around the world, #NoBeef focuses on encouraging individuals, schools and universities to cut out beef and lamb, since giving up these two meats is the single biggest change the average global citizen can make to reduce their near-term climate impact. Numerous schools and central catering at the University of Cambridge are already aboard.
