Meat Free Monday One day a week can make a world of difference

The Priory Rooms Meeting and Conference Centre

“We encourage our customers to adopt a meat free menu whenever they make use of our venue on a Monday. Even if these individuals only eat a vegetarian meal whilst attending their meeting here, we believe these weekly actions all add up and help reduce our venue’s impact on the planet. We offer a wide selection of cold and hot vegetarian options and try to show that giving up meat one day a week can be simple, healthy and enjoyable.” – Andrew Callan

Andrew Callan is Conference Centre Manager at The Priory Rooms, a Quaker-owned, not-for-profit meeting and conference centre located in the heart of Birmingham. The venue is committed to operating in a sustainable and environmentally-friendly way and has a number of initiatives in place to achieve this including serving Fairtrade teas and coffees, using recycled office materials and harvesting rain water to flush a proportion of the toilets.
